About the Show

The Friendly Neighbor Show is preserving the tradition of just plain folks gathering and singing their hearts out, singing about their lives and labors, their loves and losses in the pure high  notes of the hills and hollers.

Now in our 59th year of continuously broadcasting live performance radio, we air each Saturday morning at 8:30AM on WVOW, ‘The Voice of the Coalfields’ in Logan, West Virginia, USA.

Supporting and promoting heritage musicians and performers from small towns across West Virginia, we work to bring together many generations of musical performers.

We are proud to have West Virginia native and Music Hall of Fame member John Ellison as Host and Creative Director of our hometown radio show.
